Born and raised in Vallentuna, a few miles north of Stockholm, Sweden, I am the middle child of three kids, with an older sister, and younger brother. My early education was received locally, but in my mid teens, I transferred to an upper secondary school in central Stockholm, earning my equivalent to a highschool diploma, alongside doing specialty vocational training in automotive collision repair.

After highschool, I worked as an autobody repair technician for 6 years, before moving on to greater challenges and went into business for myself in the haulage industry. I then worked for 7 years as a self employed contracted courier, driving everything from vans and motorbikes, to heavy trucks weighing upwards of 35 tons.

I have a strong work ethic, and will frequently be doing 12-14 hour shifts on the job. On a personal level, I very much enjoy physical activity, anything from surfing and snowboarding, to cycling and hiking, and I also aim to work out at the gym at least 4-5 times per week.

My path toward a career in aviation began in the fall of 2010, and in an effort to keep loans to a minimum, I was working full time alongside doing flight training through the modular route. Thus it took me until early 2014 to complete my training, with a EASA CPL ME/IR, ATPL-theory and MCC as a result. Aviation jobs at the time in Europe being few and far between, I opted to try my luck in the US. Underestimating the endeavour to convert my licenses and ratings to FAA equivalents, it has been an ongoing process since 2015.

For the past 2 years I have been residing in southern California with El Cajon's San Diego Gillespie Field (KSEE) as my home base, and working as a  staff Flight Instructor for American Aviation Academy, and independent Flight Instructor at Plus One Flyers.

For me flight instruction is more than just a job or a pay check, it's a passion. I could have moved on to more lucrative jobs long ago, and I have even turned down interviews with airlines(!). However, I enjoy actually "flying" airplanes - not just pushing buttons, twisting knobs, and monitoring screens - and I also find great pleasure in passing on the knowledge that I've accquired over the years for the benefit of others. There are few greater sensations than the one of watching a struggling student have that "aha-moment" when it finally clicks.
